Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 Aug 2026
Sprint Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 25 617 292 869) ("Sprint Digital", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy.
This policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose and protect personal information in connection with the sprintdigital.com.au website ("Website") and our software development, consulting and support services ("Services"). It also explains how you can access, correct or complain about our handling of your personal information.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
"Personal information" means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.
1. What personal information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you make an enquiry, request a consultation, subscribe to our updates, attend an event, apply for a role, or engage us for Services, we may collect:
name, job title and the organisation you represent;
contact details, including email address, phone number and postal address;
details of your project, requirements or enquiry;
correspondence between us; and
for job applicants: your résumé, work history, qualifications, referee details and right-to-work information.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, our servers and analytics tools may record your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, language preferences, referring page, the pages you visit, time spent on them, and access dates and times. This is used to understand Website usage, maintain security and improve the Website. We do not attempt to identify individuals from this data.
Information from third parties. We may collect information about you from your employer, a referrer, a recruiter, publicly available sources such as LinkedIn or a company register, or from our clients where you are one of their contacts.
Information we handle on behalf of clients. In delivering Services, we may access or process personal information held by our clients in their systems and data. In that context we act on our client's instructions under our engagement agreement with them, and the client's own privacy policy governs how that information is collected and used. This policy does not replace that.
2. Cookies and analytics
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. We use third-party analytics tools for aggregate reporting on Website activity.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the Website may not function correctly if you do.
Browsers vary in how they send "Do Not Track" signals and there is no agreed standard for responding to them. The Website is not currently configured to respond to those signals.
3. Why we collect and use personal information
We collect, hold and use personal information to:
respond to your enquiries and provide quotes, proposals and consultations;
deliver, support and improve our Services;
manage our relationship with you, including invoicing and account administration;
send you updates, newsletters and marketing about our services, where permitted;
assess job applications and manage recruitment;
operate, secure and improve the Website;
protect against fraud, misuse and security threats;
comply with our legal obligations; and
enforce our terms and resolve disputes.
If you do not provide the information we ask for, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or provide our Services.
4. Direct marketing
We may send you marketing communications about our services where you have subscribed, or where you are an existing or prospective client and you would reasonably expect it.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe function, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by contacting us. We handle commercial electronic messages in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Opting out of marketing does not stop essential transactional or service-related communications.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
5. Who we disclose personal information to
We may disclose personal information to:
service providers who support our business, including cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, email and CRM platforms, analytics providers, payment and accounting providers, and IT support;
third-party product providers, where you ask us about or acquire a product we refer or resell — for example, if you enquire about Sprint Pay we may pass your contact and business details to Sawfish Holdings Pty Ltd, who will then handle your information under their own privacy policy;
professional advisers, including lawyers, auditors and insurers;
subcontractors engaged to deliver part of an engagement, under confidentiality obligations;
a purchaser in connection with an actual or proposed sale or restructure of our business; and
any person where required or authorised by law, including in response to a subpoena, court order or regulatory request, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent a serious threat to life, health or safety.
We require our service providers and subcontractors to protect personal information and to use it only for the purposes for which we disclosed it.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States, the European Union, Singapore and New Zealand.
Before disclosing personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a manner consistent with the APPs, generally through contractual commitments. You should be aware that overseas recipients may be subject to laws that differ from Australian privacy law, and that in some cases you may not be able to enforce Australian privacy law against them.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting environments, staff confidentiality obligations and periodic review of our systems.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us over the internet, and any transmission is at your own risk.
8. Data breaches
If we become aware of unauthorised access to, or disclosure or loss of, personal information we hold, we will assess it promptly and take appropriate remedial action.
Where an eligible data breach occurs and it is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law (for example, tax and corporate record-keeping obligations, which are generally seven years).
When personal information is no longer needed and we are not required to keep it, we destroy it or de-identify it. We may continue to use aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you.
10. Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
To make a request, contact us using the details in clause 13. We may ask you to verify your identity. We will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days. Access is free, although we may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of retrieving and supplying substantial amounts of information. If we refuse access or correction, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.
11. Children
The Website and Services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through the Website. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Overseas visitors
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including rights of erasure, restriction, objection and data portability.
