Meet the team: Matteo Galli
"I wanted to build the systems that let great teams do their best work."
Matteo Galli grew up in Italy and studied Computer Software Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Parma. But it was Australia that captured him: the lifestyle, the people, and the sense of opportunity. He made Brisbane home, and he hasn't looked back since.
Matteo started his career hands-on as a developer, working across React Native, full-stack, and mobile projects. Over time, he discovered that his real passion wasn't just writing code; it was building the systems and teams around it. He saw that great software doesn't come from individual brilliance alone; it comes from well-designed processes, clear structure, and people set up to do their best work.
Today, as General Manager at Sprint, Matteo brings that thinking to everything we do. He is behind much of the process and structure that allows our growing team to move fast without breaking things. From AI tooling strategy to multi-layered agent architectures, he's as comfortable shaping systems as he is shaping teams.
"Good process isn't about red tape," Matteo says. "It's about removing friction so the team can focus on what actually matters: solving real problems for our clients."
That mindset is a big part of how Sprint consistently delivers great product outcomes. When the systems behind the work are solid, the work itself gets better. And for Matteo, that's exactly the point.
